Description:
Sculpture depicts a marching boy, an adult drummer and an adult fifer of the Revolutionary War period. The drummer boy is dressed in a tricorn hat, buttoned waist-coat, breeches and fitted knee-boots. He is playing a drum suspended on a strap around his neck. The adult male on his proper left is dressed in a long-sleeved shirt, knee-breeches, stockings and shoes. He, too, is playing a drum suspended from a strap around his neck. The fifer is dressed in an open-pailed waistcoat, breeches, boots that lace at the side, and wears a head band. He is playing a fife. The sculpture is placed in the center of a large round fountain. Four white interlocking arches ascend over the sculpture from the fountain floor.
