    A bronze plaque inscribed with text relating to John Brickell, mounted on a boulder rock which in turn rests on a concrete base.

    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain a copy of The City Bulletin from Nov. 23, 1929 which includes a motion by the Franklin County Pioneer Association to erect a monument to John Bricknell, the first citizen of Columbus. IAS files contain an unidentified publication which gives a preliminary history of the forming of the Franklin County Pioneer Association. IAS files also contain excerpts from William T. Marten's "History of Franklin County," Columbus, Follet, Foster, and Co., 1858, pg. 110-121, which includes diariy writings from Bricknell.
