Description:
A standing portrait of David Ignatius Walsh holding a sheaf of documents in his proper left hand is mounted on square base attached to a curved granite wall. A bronze relief plaque of an eagle was once located on the front of the square base. The eagle plaque is now missing as are two of the three bronze plaques on the rear of the curved granite wall behind the sculpture. The two missing rear plaques depicted the seal of Massachusetts and the insignia of the U.S. Naval Affairs Committee. The remaining bronze relief plaque on the rear of the wall depicts a kneeling elderly man holding a tablet in his hands.
