Dimensions:  Tripartite relief: approx. 5 ft. x 108 in. x 15 in.; Owls: approx. 24 x 16 x 11 in.; Faces in windows: approx. 15 x 10 x 15 in. Inscription:  (Above each side of portico, incised lettering:) (Front:) MEDICINE (Proper left side:) ANATOMY (Proper right side:) PHYSIOLOGY unsigned Description:  Architectural sculpture on the building includes science reliefs, owls, and carved faces. A tripartite relief contains scenes of scientists sitting at workstations, each separated by a border. On the right, a scientist looks into a microscope, with a frog, human heart, and stalk of beans above him. In the center section, a scientist holds a flask over head with his proper left hand, with alembic on table. On the left section, a scientist peers into a microscope, a pelvis skeleton and an embryo above him. Other architectural decoration include stylized owls which decorate projections along the water table, and carved faces in the windows.
