    Description: 
    A portrait of Abraham Lincoln seated on a large boulder, his head slightly bowed and his hands resting in his lap. The sculpture rests on a rectangular granite base which rest on a low flat granite base.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture and a $3,000 maintenance fund were given to the to the town by local lumber dealer Everett Whitney. The sculpture faces the home of Lincoln's ancestor, Samuel Lincoln (1622-1690), who lived at 182 Lincoln Street. For additional information see the Hingham Journal, March 17, 1939 and Sept. 29, 1929.
