    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a Civil War soldier. He wears a uniform and stands at parade rest. He holds a rifle in front of him; the butt of the gun rests on the ground. The white granite figure surmounts a granite shaft. The shaft is divided into three horizontal sections. At the bottom of the shaft on the front is a bas-relief medallion. The base of the shaft stands on a series of steps. A cannon stands at each corner of the base. The monument is enclosed with a wrought iron fence.
