    Description:
The buffalo, elk, and Lewis are arranged in a triangular formation, with Lewis facing south and the animals both facing east. The Lewis has his proper right arm bent at the elbow and held against the body. His proper left arm hangs down, the hand resting on a wood post. The size of the animals is not realistic compared to the size of Lewis (who appears larger than life), although they do suggest mature animals.

    Remarks:
The artist's students participated in the planning and construction of this sculpture. Planned additions remain unfinished due to the artist's sudden death (year not given). After the SOS! survey took place, the figure of Meriwether Lewis sustained further damage; the sculpture is broken open and proper right hand has been smashed.
