Title supplied by Inventory cataloger.
This sculpture is one of six busts of Roman emperors, Claudio, Augusto, Cesare, Neronian, Domitian, and Trajan (IAS record numbers VA000425 through VA000429) that were purchased from the Rockefeller estate by David K. E. Bruce and his wife, Ailsa Mellon Bruce. Mr. Bruce donated the busts to the Charlotte County Free Library and they were placed in the library's garden. At some point four of the busts, Claudio, Augusto, Trajan, and Domitian, were moved to the Charlotte County Courthouse. When a major motion picture was filmed in the courthouse two of the busts, Claudio and Augusto, were moved back to the Charlotte County Free Library and were placed in basement storage along with the busts of Cesare and Neronian. Trajan and Domitian remain on display at the courthouse.
