    A bust of Thomas E. G. Ransom, dressed in military uniform, placed atop a two-sectioned base with an inscribed plaque on the upper front.

    Remarks: 
    Brigadier General Thomas E. G. Ransom commanded a brigade of the Union Army during the Vicksburg campaign. He was later promoted to Major General. He died on October 29, 1864. Erected by the federal government. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03337). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. Bronze cost $575 paid by Federal Government.
