Description:
Tall square tower topped with a female figure representing Victory. The figure holdis a
sword
on her proper-right front side with both hands. At the base of the tower, on each of the four sides, is a soldier dressed in military uniform from different wars: the Revolutionary War, the Spanish American War, the Civil War, and World War I. Beneath each soldier is a relief of a battleship from that respective war.

Remarks:
The sculpture was designed and executed under the auspices of the Works Progress Administration. The memorial was co-sponsored by the City of Lincoln at the suggestion of Charles F. Fraley, Post No.1450 Veterans of Foreign Wars. An Arts Alive outdoor sculpture tour listing in IAS files gives media as limestone.
