    Pedestal with cross-gable cap stands on a tiered, rough-hewn base. Relief elements include a trefoil II Corps insignia, assorted infantry items and crossed rifles. The Seal of the State of Michigan is affixed to the lower front face.

    Remarks: 
    This is one of 9 monuments on the site honoring Michigan troops who fought in the Gettysburg campaign. It marks the position held by the 7th Michigan Infantry on July 2 & 3, 1863. The sculpture (referred to as MN 233) is listed on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. 17.
