    Remarks: 
    These three mural panels were presented to the citizens of St. Joseph, Michigan and were loaned to the Whitcomb Hotel by the Chamber of Commerce. The murals, which were unveiled on May 5, 1928, were installed over the fireplace mantel in the hotel's dining room. The Whitcomb Hotel closed its doors in Nov. 1966, and later reopened as a retirement residence in 1973. The murals remained installed over the fireplace mantel in what is now the retirement community's living room - meeting room.
