    Description: 
    A tall granite stele with shallow fountain basins on both the front and back is adorned on the front with a circular relief portrait of French pilot Guy Levy-Despas. Along the top front edge of the stele is a crown and wings symbolic of the Royal Air Force. Along the top back edge of the stele is an American eagle symbolic of the United States Air Force. The stele rests on a low base made with blocks of granite.
