    Remarks: 
    The sculpture commemorates General La Fayette, who assisted the American army during the Revolutionary War. The work was funded through Works Progress Administration. IAS files contain related newsclippings from Hollywood Citizen-News (March 23, 1937); Herald and Express (March 27, 1937); and the Los Angeles Examiner (March 31, 1937).
