    Description: 
    A portrait of Moore seated in an armchair. He wears an open robe, with his proper left hand on his lap and his proper right hand resting on the arm of the chair. The sculpture is mounted upon a rectangular, tiered base, with steps leading up to the monument.

    Remarks: 
    Edward Mott Moore (1814-1902) was a Rochester physician who became the President of the Rochester Park Commission and was known as the "Father of the Rochester Park System." The memorial was a gift to the City of Rochester from James G. Cutler, a former Rochester mayor, and was accepted by a resolution passed on August 21, 1926. The base was designed by Lawrence G. White of the architectural firm of McKim, Mead & White.
