    Description: 
    Eve leans against a stump, holding an apple in her proper left hand. A serpent tangled around the stump pokes its head over Eve's proper right shoulder. Adam sits on another stump across from Eve, holding his proper right arm in front of his chest. Both Adam and Eve are nude.

    Remarks: 
    Elias Abraham Upshur mixed the cement and Samuel Straughan Robinson helped weld the armature. Sculpture painted several years after created. Sculpture has been wire-brushed and repainted several times since. For further reading see Richmond Times-Dispatch (VA), July 21, 1935.
