    A memorial plaque with a bust-length portrait of Robert V. Menary in profile, wearing glasses and a bow-tie. On his proper left shoulder are two birds, possibly doves, one with its wings spread.

    Remarks: 
    Robert V. Menary was president of the Cheyenne Museum and Zoological Society from 1939 to 1963. The plaque was a gift of his friends. The plaque was originally located in a stone or concrete base with a sculpture of bronze deer. The plaque is now set in adobe sandstone or granite wall at the zoo entrance. IAS files contain a checklist of outdoor sculpture in the El Pomar Foundation collection.
