    Description: 
    A war monument consisting of a granite boulder with a rectangular bronze relief plaque depicting a Grecian woman standing with arms extended, holding a laurel in each hand. She is dressed in a long gown and sandals. Each arms rests on slightly raised column that contains an Honor Roll of names.

    Remarks: 
    The memorial erected by the Yarmouth Grange commemorates the World War I soldiers and sailors of Yarmouth, Massachusetts. It was funded with $811.09 from a bonus fund that the Town appropriated for the veterans. IAS files contain a transcription of names that appear on the plaque. IAS files also contain an excerpt from Marion Vuillemier's "The Town of Yarmouth, Massachusetts: A History, 1639-1989," Yarmouth, MA: The Historical Society of Old Yarmouth, 1989, pg. 96; and correspondence dated April 28, 1995 containing transcriptions of town meeting minutes for the Town of Yarmouth during the 1920s.
