Description:
A bronze sculpture depicting a woman holding a fallen soldier who clutches an American flag in his proper right hand. At their feet are two shields, one is a U.S. shield, and the other depicts the U.S. seal. The sculpture is installed atop a red granite base that is adorned on the front with a bronze inscription plaque. On the north side of the granite base is a bronze plaque depicting the Pennsylvania state seal.
