    Description: 
    Haida totem pole consists of two Village Watchmen at the top, followed by a Raven reaching down with his tongue to a bear-like figure. Another bear figure holds a human form which is changing into an animal. A third bear appears at bottom.

    Remarks: 
    This pole is from the House of Dzeilu, in the Haida Village of Kasaan. It is reportedly a gift of John Baronovich in 1903, and was part the Brady Collection of poles acquired by Governor John Brady. The poles became park property in 1906. IAS files contain an excerpt from "Carved History," a publication of the National Park Service.
