Inscription:  unsigned Description:  Ulysses is kneeling on his proper right knee, with proper left leg and body extended forward. In his proper left arm, held out straight, he holds a cylinder. His proper right arm is bent at the elbow, as if he was holding a bow. IAS files contain an unidentified published excerpt which indicates one of Farleigh's trustees, Aubrey C. Lewis, posed for the statue while a student at Notre Dame University, where Mestrovic was artist-in-residence.
