Remarks:
Donated to Norwich University by Leonard H. Nason (NU 1920) and the Class of 1920 in memory of Harold S. Metcalf, Jean Seaver, and Moses Taylor, Jr. in 1940. These three men died during World War I and were members of the Norwich University Class of 1920. Nason and Dunn worked together frequently for the magazine American Legion Monthly, for which this painting was a cover image in November 1929.
