    Description:
Bas-relief concave panel above the entrance to a school. The panel depicts three scenes. On the left, a group of people are engaged in sports activities. A man holds a tennis racket, two children play on a teeter-totter and three young children play with a toy sailboat. A tree with several sheep standing in front separates the scene from the next. In the center scene, three children are gathered around a woman who is reading from a book. A man stands behind her. To the right, a woman is seated and holds an infant on her lap. Two young boys stand next to her; the boy on the right holds a rabbit. A tree with a globe showing the Western Hemisphere separates the center scene from the scene on the right. On the right is a group of six children and adults. Two young men are seated; the other four, including a young woman, are standing. The young woman has a dog on a lead and a stringed instrument tucked under her proper left arm. The background of the panel is dark while the relief figures are light, creating a two-tone effect.
