Description:
A walking cowboy carries in his proper left arm a branding arm. He holds, with his proper right hand, a walking stick which extends down to the base. He wears a cowboy outfit: a silver belly-colored hat, jean jacket, blue jeans, and boots. Standing on a triangular stone and cement base, he is very thin, and appears a bit bowlegged.

Remarks:
Figure originally held in his hands a fishing pole and fish. Assistants Wadholm and Waller did the welding; others who helped were Richard and Lyle Ruland (cement work), Milton Gillette (the fish), Charley Beiri (the fish pole), and Ross Green (lighting). IAS files contain copy of "Tales of Mighty Mountrail" article, which tells the story of Earl Bunyan as narrated by the artist in a 1961 comic book.
