Description:
An abstract sculpture consisting of a semicircular arrangement of five flat pieces of steel, each approximately fifteen feet by three and a half feet in size. One piece lies flat on the ground and each subsequent piece rises slightly until the fifth piece is almost vertical. The pieces are connected to one another around the top.

Remarks:
The sculpture was acquired in 1977 with funds from the Thirtieth Anniversary Project, The Friends of the Museum, and the National Endowment for the Arts. The inscription on a nearby plaque reads: DAEDALUS/BY THE AMERICAN SCULPTOR/CHARLES GINNEVER - 1975/ACQUIRED THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF CONTRIBUTORS TO THE/MUSEUM'S 30TH ANNIVERSARY FUND AND WITH THE/ASSISTANCE OF THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS/DEDICATED SEPTEMBER 16, 1977.
