Description:
A robed angel stands with outspread wings atop a shrouded obelisk. The angel's proper right arm is upraised and she holds a scroll in her proper left hand at thigh level. The angel's proper right foot is visible from the rear below the hem of the robe. The entire piece is set atop a smaller rectangular square base.

Remarks:
Sculpture commemorates James Garibaldi, 1827-1893, his wife Rosa, 1844-1865, and Vittorio Emanuello Garibaldi, 1872-1873, whose graves are nearby. James Garibaldi was born in Italy and came to the United States as a child, becoming a prominent Arkansas businessman in the wholesale and retail liquor business. IAS files contain a transcription of an obituary for James Garibaldi from the Arkansas Gazette, Nov. 14, 1893, pg. 8.
