The sculpture's execution date is given as 1961 in Rupp's "Art in Seattle's Public Places," and Rupp states that the sculpture was given to the city in 1961. The sculpture's completion date is given as 1962 in "A Field Guide to Seattle's Public Art," and the University of Washington's Henry Gallery also reported the execution date as 1962.
