Description:
At the base of a large carved stone tree stump is a scale model of a railway mail car entering a tunnel. The railway car and tunnel entrance appear to be out of proportion with the tree and carved foliage and plants.

Remarks:
The monument originally had a postman standing on the platform. This mail car is an accurate scale model of a real one. The SOS survey questionnaire provided granite as the medium while the Public Monument Conservation Project questionnaire provided limestone as the medium.
