    Copper-beryllium alloy rods welded to plates of naval brass and mounted on granite pedestals.
    Dimensions: 
    Each rod ranges from: H. 4 ft. to H. 16 ft.; Each pedestal: H. 18 in.; Reflecting pool: 4000 sq. ft.
    Description: 
    Eleven clusters of rods have been welded to plates of naval brass which rest on granite pedestals. The clusters, set at right angles to each other, form a sculpture capable of producing sound from wind. The clusters are placed in a large reflecting pool.

    Remarks: 
    The location was formerly known as the Amoco Corporation Building and before that the Standard Oil Company Building. The sculpture was commissioned by the Standard Oil Company (Indiana) for the plaza of its headquarters building (now Amoco). Standard Oil Company published a small brochure on the sculpture which details how the sound is made by the wind. IAS files contain a copy of this sculpture brochure.
