    Description:
Standing figure of a tattered soldier in a solid stance. His proper left trouser is ripped at the knee. His proper left hand grips his belt and his proper right hand hangs extended outward to the side, clenched like a claw. He looks straight ahead and slightly down with a wrinkled brow. His shirt is open to mid-chest. A helmet rests behind his proper left foot. The reliefs on the base depict: men loading a cannon; five soldiers marching, with one on a horse and another holding a flag; and wounded soldiers walking beside a nurse.
