Two figures set in a desert landscape; one figure is laying on the sand with legs and arm stretched out; the other, a woman, is seated at his side. Beside her is a jug laying on its side. This scene is based on the biblical story of Hagar and Ishmael, who die of thirst while lost in the desert.
