Description:  Installed high above the main entrance is a standing portrait of William Murray with his proper right foot extended toward his fellow eighteenth-century Englishman, John Somers, on his proper right. Murray is dressed in judicial robes and a wig. His proper right hand is raised. He holds a scroll in his proper left hand. The sculptures are installed on the cornice above the main entrance to the courthouse. As Chief Justice of the King's Bench, William Murray developed commercial law.
