Description:
The memorial consists of a rectangular marble slab carved with a relief of a female figure covered with an American flag. With her proper right hand the figure lifts the edge of the flag away from her face and with her proper left hand she holds a leafy branch. The relief rests on a rectangular platform with two low walls forming the back and sides of the memorial. Each side wall is adorned with a low bench. Three steps lead to the platform of the memorial. In the center of the platform are three ledgers adorned with bronze muskets and inscriptions to each of the three
