    Description: 
    Mary Pickford stands with her legs slightly apart and her arms folded across her chest. There is a dog at her feet. She wears the costume of Little Lord Fauntleroy, a jacket, knee britches, and a cap pulled down over her forehead. Her hair is in long ringlets. Sculpture is installed in a niche on the facade of the building.

    Remarks: 
    One of four figures commissioned by I. Miller for his shoe company's new building as a gift to the city of New York. A contest was held to determine which popular actresses should be chosen to represent the various performing arts. Mary Pickford was chosen to represent "film." Inscription on wall just below sculpture reads: MARY PICKFORD/AS/LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY.
