    Carrabelli and Braggini (sic) (On four sides of the lower base, in raised letters:) PERRYVILLE/CHICKAMAUGA/WILDERNESS/ANTIETAM (Names of 160 men who enlisted from Willoughby are on the die) unsigned Founder's mark appears.
    Description: 
    Monument consists of a uniformed Union army soldier installed atop tall shaft and a tiered base. The figure wears a long coat, cap and moustache and holds his rifle in front of him with both hands around the barrel. Decorative relief elements on the shaft include a shield emblem, cannon, Fort Fisher and crossed anchors. The work is surrounded by a low wrought iron fence.
