    Remarks:
Commissioned by Deane Knox and Gordon Pierce on behalf of members of the Vail community for the Vail Art in Public Places Program. The fountain originally included small cast bronze animals which were designed by students in the Eagle County, Colorado and New York City schools. The Town removed these pieces in 1993 for safety reasons. These were placed in the Vail Public Library. IAS files contain the names of the donors listed on the plaque.
The children statues were cleaned and refinished at the Adonis Foundry (Oregon) in September 1993. The plaza may also be known as the International Children's Plaza.
