    Description: 
    Environmental sculpture consists of elements which reflect the various uses of its site. There are sculpted representations of salt shed houses and oil storage tanks. There are also images of natural growth and decay, stream and construction images. To convey the continually transformative nature of the site, the pieces are on wheels which move and converge on a central location.

    Remarks: 
    Commissioned as part of the Harbor Redevelopment project and designed to celebrate the historic and modern contexts of the site. The City and State Departments of Transportation donated $3,000 for the project. The artists are a graduate and professor from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Work on the sculpture began in June 1993 and was in progress at the time of the SOS! survey. IAS files contain the artist's statement, site plans, and related items from The Post-Standard (Syracuse, NY) June 4, 1993 and the Syracuse Herald-Journal, June 4, 1993.
