    Remarks: 
    The two life-size bronze Army and Navy military service members stand guard over the historic monument dedicated to all past, present, and future veterans of the Claude Sims American Legion Post #68, Brinkley, Arkansas. The sculpture was totally funded by American Legion Claude Sims Post #68. Claude Sims was a veteran originally from the Brinkley area, who fought during World War I and was killed and buried in France. The sculpture is installed on Cypress Street, originally part of the historic Broadway of America Highway, also known as Highway 70.
