    Description: 
    A Civil War soldier standing at rest holding a rifle vertically in front of him. His head is turned to his proper right and he stares down at the ground. Both of his hands are on the barrel of his rifle, proper left over proper right. He is dressed in his uniform and wears a small cap and an overcoat with a small cape. The sculpture rests on rough-hewn granite base adorned with a bronze star on the front.
