    Description: 
    Reliefs of six saints on the upper elevation of the National Shrine. St. John Crysostom holds a book with a cross on its cover in his proper left hand and his proper right hand is raised in blessing. St. Ignatius of Antioch's chained hands are folded over his chest. Two lions stand at his feet. St. Justin, Martyr, holds a book to his chest in his proper right hand. His proper left hand holds a palm frond and rests on the handle of a downward-pointing sword. St. Leo the Great holds a pair of keys to his chest in his proper left hand. His proper right hand rests on the handle of a downward-pointing sword. There is an ornate object at his feet. St. Jerome holds a round object to his chest in his proper left hand and a quill and scroll in his proper right hand. His proper right hand rests on the head of a seated lion. St. Augustine of Hippo holds a heart to his chest in his proper right hand and a scroll in his proper left hand. There is a mitre at his feet.
