    Description: 
    A bronze figure of Dr. Elisha Yale striding with his left leg forward, his right hand holding a walking stick, and his left hand holding a Bible against his chest. He wears a short double-breasted jacket with a long cape draped over his shoulders and down his back. The sculpture is installed atop a three-tiered octagonal granite base .

    Remarks: 
    The memorial honors Rev. Elisha Yale, D. D., pastor of the Kingsborough Church from 1804-1853. The sculpture was provided for in the will of Ruth A. Parsons who set aside a fund of $20,000-$30,000 for the erection of memorials to the two leading figures in the early development of Kingsboro, Presbyterian minister Dr. Elisha Yale and schoolmaster Horace Sprague IAS files contain an excerpt from "The Parsons' Memorials to Dr. Elisha Yale, Prof. Horace Sprague, and The Pioneers of Kingsborough," 1932, a photocopy of the dedication booklet for the memorials to both Dr. Elisha Yale and Professor Horace Sprague, and an unidentified newspaper article.
