(On medallion:) WOODFILL PARK/In 1979, Woodfill Park was so named and/designated in perpetuity commemorating/William Stewart Woodfill. Longer than any/other, he has been owner and preserver/of the Grand Hotel. He was the prime/mover in getting the Mackinac/Bridge built. As chairman of/The Mackinac Island State Park/Commission, he created the/program that restored/Fort Mackinac and rebuilt/Fort Michilimackinac. unsigned

A medallion relief portrait bust of William Stewart Woodfill. He wears a jacket and tie and horn-rimmed glasses. The medallion tops a square base, and is installed at a slightly angled slope. The marker is surrounded by a U-shaped seating area.
