    Description: 
    George Verity stands rigidly, wearing a full mustache, clothed in a three-piece, two-button suit with a handkerchief in his proper right breast pocket, a business shirt, a tie with a windsor knot, cuffed pants, and tie shoes. The figure stands on a bronze platform that is affixed to a square, granite base. The figure and base stand in front of a low, granite wall.

    Remarks: 
    George M. Verity, 1865-1942, was the founder of the American Rolling Mill Company (ARMCO) in 1899. The location of sculpture is the former headquarters of the ARMCO Steel Corporation. The sculpture was restored in 1973 by Eleftherios Karkadoulias. IAS files contain a clipping from the Cincinnati Enquirer, July 1, 1973, which has an image of Karkadoulias with the figure during the restoration process.
