    Description: 
    A scene from the military campaign of Stonewall Jackson depicts a rest stop on one of Jackson's marches. Jackson, astride his horse, is surrounded by his fellow officers, some mounted on horseback, while the infantrymen on foot are seen lined up along the road that winds into the distant countryside. In the foreground soldiers rest against trees and others wash their feet along a riverbank.
