    Description: 
    Three full-length figures stand on a tall, slightly slanted square base. The center figure is a male wearing a band uniform with tall hat and is playing a baritone. To his proper left stands a female figure wearing a short skirt and blazer. She holds a violin in her proper left hand. A female vocalist in a long robe stands to the male's proper right.

    Remarks: 
    Commissioned by the Tri-State Board and Phillips University for the Tri-State Music Festival and Bicentennial. The cost was approximately $12,000. High school students Kristy Breitenkamp, Teresa Braley and Steve Robinson served as models. There were originally four figures planned, but the drum major was dropped to save space and money.
