Remarks:
Martin Richards was a native of Wilkes County, Georgia. He was married to Amelia S. Welch, and he was a deacon at First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where there is a Victorian stained glass window in his memory in the main sanctuary. A collection of personal letters between Martin Richards and the prominent theologian Rev. Basil Manly Jr. are at Samford University.
