Bust of Elihu Bartlit Pond, a native of New York who became a newspaper editor and publisher in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was a member of the Michigan state legislature in 1859. The bust was exhibited in St. Louis in 1896 and in Chicago in 1899 under the title of "Old Settler" or "Old Pioneer."
