    Description: 
    A bust of Patriarch Athenagoras I (1887-1972) as an elderly man with a beard to his chest. He wears a traditional headdress of the Greek Orthodox clergy and a medallion on a necklace around his neck. The rectangular pedestal is faced with slabs of marble that are caulked together.
