    A concrete wall adorned with six relief panels depicting Olaf Martin Oleson's life and interests --his youth in Iowa, his boyhood in Norway, his skill as a pharmacist and botanist, and his scholarly pursuits.

    Remarks: 
    The memorial honors Olaf Martin Oleson who emigrated from Norway to Iowa at seventeen. At nineteen he studied pharmacy and returned to Fort Dodge where he made his fortune in real estate. He gave his fortune to local projects, most notably a local hospital and several parks for the community. His foundation still contributes to health related causes.
