Description:
Plaque featuring a relief bust of Colonel Milton Montgomery in uniform and wearing a beard and moustache. The lower portion of the plaque has an inscription. The plaque is mounted on the front of a base consisting of a stele atop a pedestal.

Remarks:
Colonel Milton Montgomery commanded the 25th Wisconsin Infantry during the Vicksburg campaign. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03416). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. Bronze cost $315 and pedestal cost $85 paid by Federal Government.
